About Latanier Music
Latanier Music began around a kitchen table in a 150 year-old Acadian house in Grand Coteau, La. Mike Hanisee and Danny Kimball began swapping and finishing song ideas from a vast repertoire of lyrics and melodies. That evening began a new chapter in their friendship and collaboration. The concept was to develop, write and produce music reflective of their lifelong Louisiana experience. Louisiana celebrates a unique cultural crossroads of old world traditions and modern Americana. The musical roots that have flourished at this convergence of culture and time include blues, jazz, Cajun, zydeco, rhythm & blues, rock n' roll, and rural folk. The lyrical traditions of Louisiana and the Deep South are rich in image and poetry. They reflect the hardship and celebration of life in this unique part of southern America. Latanier Music is a crossroads of collaborations with like-minded artists to bring creative spark to realized vision.
